Statement of Faith

Note: this is not an exclusive list of all we believe, only those doctrines that pertain to salvation essentials, Biblical morality, and dispensational pre millennial interpretation of Bible prophesy.

1. The Bible is the infallible, inerrant, and fully inspired Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for all that we believe, teach, and practice. The Bible is God ’s divine revelation to and its main subject is the Lord Jesus Christ. God has supernaturally preserved His Word (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Luke 24:27, 44; John 5:39; Acts 1:16; 17:2,3; Romans 15:4).

2. The Triune God eternally exists in three Persons- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each while distinct Persons, are One God, and have the same nature, attributes and are worthy of our worship, devotion, obedience, trust, and service. (Gen 1:26; Deut 6:4; Matt 3:16, 17; Matt28:18, 19; Mark 12:29, 30; 2 Cor. 13:14).

3. The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who left Heaven’s glory, took on flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and became man, without sin and not losing His deity. Christ’s purpose in coming to earth was to offer Himself as the perfect sacrifice for man’s sin on the cross and die in our place. Christ’s precious blood was shed for our remission. After His death, Christ was buried, then arose physically from the tomb. The

bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of Christianity. With His resurrection comes our justification. After His resurrection, the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven where He is today at the Father’s right hand, making intercession for His people and being our Advocate and High Priest. (John 1:1,2,14; Luke 1:35; Rom. 3:24, 25; Phil. 2:6-18; Eph. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 2:24; Heb. 2:9-18, 9:24; Acts 1:9,10; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1,2).

4. Man is the crowning work of God, having been created in His image. God breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living soul, distinctly different in the rest of God’s creation, as man was created to have fellowship and a relationship with God. However because of man’s sin against God’s commandment, he lost his blessed estate in the Garden of Eden and became dead in trespasses and sins, subject to both physical and spiritual death. Every man born since Adam has inherited a sin nature. Man is a sinner by nature and by choice and is hopeless to redeem himself in any way from sins judgement, apart from the finished redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Gen 1:26; 2:17; 6:5; Ps. 14:1-3; 51:5; Jer. 17:9; John 3:6; 5:40; 6:53; Rom. 3:10-19; 8:6,7; Eph. 2:1-3; 1 Tim. 5:6; 1 John 3:8).

5. Salvation is a gift of God that is offered to all mankind on the basis of God’s grace through faith in the finished perfect work of the Lord Jesus Christ by His shed blood on the cross of Calvary. This is the only way man can have forgiveness of his personal sins and have eternal life in Heaven. Sin is any disobedience to God’s Word and must be punished by a Holy Just God. The wrath of God was poured out upon Christ and sins penalty was paid in full. There is nothing else that can add to salvation, i.e., baptism, church membership, being a good person, etc., cannot save nor add to what Christ has already done. Salvation requires a complete trust, believing, in Christ plus nothing else. Repentance is turning from sin and turning to Christ to be saved and is vital to a person being born again. Once saved, a person has a new nature and life through the Holy Spirit. (Lev. 17:11; Is. 64:6; Matt 26:28; John 1:12; 3:5, 16, 18, 36; 5:24; 6:29; Rom. 5:6-9; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:13; 6:5; Eph 1:7; 2:8-10; Phil. 3:4-9; Titus 3:5; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:18,19,23).

6. We believe in the eternal security of the believer once saved. A believer is not kept by his n power but by the power of God. This is not a license or excuse to sin for the believer. God promises also to chasten His children who are committing sin, out of His great love for us, and out of His holiness as He cannot and will not tolerate sin, and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory. A believer has the assurance of his salvation from God’s promises in His Word. (John 5:24; 6:37-40; 10:27-30; 17:23; Acts 13:39; Rom. 5:1; 8:1, 38, 39; 1 Cor. 1:4-8; 1 Peter 1:5; Heb. 7:25; 12:5-10; Jude 24; 1 Cor. 11:30-32; Rom. 13:13,14; Gal. 5:13; Titus 2:11-15).

7. Sanctification is the process whereby a believer is set apart unto God. A believer’s sanctification is positionally complete in Christ through His work of redemption. A believer’s sanctification is also progressive (aka experiential) in that we are to grow in grace and allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. There will be also a full sanctification in the future when a believer meets His Lord face to face in glory and shall be “like Him”. Christians should live lives of separation from sin and all forms of religious apostasy, worldly associations and practices that would bring reproach on upon Christ and harm ones testimony. (John 17:17; 2 Cor. 3:18; 7:1; Eph. 4:24; 5:25-27; 1 Thess. 5:23; Heb. 10:10,14; 12:10; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Rom. 12:1-2; 14:13; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 John 9-11; 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1).

8. The Holy Spirit , third Person in the Trinity, permanently indwells every believer upon receiving Christ as their Lord and Savior. The believer is baptized into Christ body and is equipped and enabled for service to our Lord. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to each child of God for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. It is understood that the various “sign “ gifts as mentioned in the book of Acts are no longer for our current dispensation and ceased after the canon of Scripture was completed. (John 14:16-17, 26; 1 Cor 6:19; Eph. 2:22; 2 Thess. 2:7; John 3:6; 16:7-11; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 4:30; 5;18; 2 Thess. 2:7; 1 John 2:20-27; John 16:13-14; Acts 2:6; 1 cor. 13:8-10).

9. The Great Commission is the primary message and purpose of the church (the Body of Christ, i.e. all save born again children of God) that our Lord gave us to be witnesses of the Gospel to reach the lost throughout the entire earth until the end of the Church age. (Matt. 28:18, 19; Mark 16:15; John 17:18; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:18-20; 1 Peter 1:17; 2:11).

10. The church is the Body of Christ, composed of all saved persons espoused to Christ as His bride, is a spiritual organism, beginning at Pentecost and distinct in identity from the nation and people of Israel. God is presently building His church consisting of all saved people, both Jew and Gentile. The only ordinances of the church are water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. Both are symbolic of the death to sin and new life in Christ (baptism) and a commemoration of the Lord’s death (Lord’s Supper) and do not add to salvation by grace through faith. (Matt 16:16-18; Acts 2:42-47; Rom. 12:5; 1 Cor. 12:27; Eph. 1:20-24; 4:3-10; Col. 3:14-15; Matt. 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 10:47-48; 16:32-33; 18:7-8; 1 Cor. 11:26).

Position Statements and Convictions

1. Civil government: God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions—the family, the church, and the state. All people are subject to the authority of each, yet only as each of these authorities is in submission to God and His Word. When government is in opposition to the Word of God, “we ought to obey God rather than men”. Each of these institutions has specific God given responsibilities and each is equal and sovereign in their specific roles, not any of them having the right to infringe on the other. (Acts 5:27-29; Rom. :1-7; Eph. 5:22-24; Heb. 13:17; 1 Peter 2:13-14).

2. Family: God has ordained the family as the basic foundational unit of society. Men and women are equal in position and value in the sight of God, yet have distinct spiritual functions in the home and the church. Husbands are to be leaders of the home and men are to be pastors and deacons of the church. (Gen. 1:26-28; Ex. 20:12; Deut. 6:4-9; Ps. 127:3-5; Prove. 19:18, 22:15, 23:13-14; Mark 10:6-12; 1 Cor. 7:1-16; Gal. 3:28; Eph. 5:21-23, 6:1-4; Col. 3:18-21; 1 Tim. 2:8-15, 3:4-5, 12; Heb. 13:4; 1 Peter 3:1-7).

3. Sanctity of life: Human life is made in the image of God and begins at conception and the unborn child in all stages of development is a living human being and as such is worthy to have all the God given rights applicable to all humans in value, dignity, and protection. Abortion is the unjustified, unexcused taking of human life at any stage of unborn development and is murder, no matter the method or reason.(Gen. 1:27; Gen. 2:7; Job 33:4; Ps. 36:9; Deut 32:39; Ps. 139:13-16; Jer. 1:4-5; Is. 44:24; Is. 49:1,5; Jer. 20:15-18;Luke 1:44).

4. Human sexuality: The only legitimate marriage in the sight of God is between one man and one woman (Biblical marriage). Any sexual relationships outside of Biblical marriage (adultery or fornication) are sin. Homosexuality in all its forms to include all perversions such as transgenderism, pedophilia, and bestiality are sin. (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5,13; Gen. 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30;Matt. 18:6; Mark 9:42; Rom. 1:26-29; 1 Cor. 5:1, 6:9; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22-23).
